Jayne Harris is co-founder and Lead Paranormal Investigator with HD Paranormal Research. She is also the President and Chairwoman of the Midlands Society for Paranormal Research (MSPR) which has developed a series of metaphysical trials under the guidance of their advisory panel.

Jaynes interest in the paranormal has been a lifelong one, having grown up in a family of Spiritualists. Both of Jaynes great grandmothers were mediums and while Jayne isn't convinced she has inhertied their gift, she has certainly had her fair share of unexplainable experiences over the years!




In 1998 Jayne began researching various paranormal phenomena and became a member of Stourbridge Spiritualist Church. Through word of mouth Jayne built up a solid reputation for her honest, no-nonsense approach to paranormal investigation, HD Paranormal Research was born and most of Jaynes spare time was either devoted to research or helping people who believed they were experiencing unexplained activity in their home or workplace. Jaynes reputation grew and to date her organisation have investigated over 1300 suspected hauntings all over the world. 

Jayne studied Psychology, Sociology and English Literature at King Edward VI College, Stourbridge before going on to work in the Training and Development department for Dudley South NHS Primary Care Trust, where after completing her TQUK Level 3 Award in Education & Training (QCF) she designed, delivered and assessed NHS staff training, while still conducting private paranormal investigations in the evenings and at weekends. 


Jayne later studied Abnormal Psychology at Oxford College before completing her BSc in Psychology. She then went on to work within Adult Mental Health services for Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council where she achieved her NVQ Level 4 in Advice & Guidance, Level 3 award in Counselling Skills and spent 8 years developing and delivering a range of courses and workshops for local businesses and employers.


In 2012 after becoming a mother Jayne decided to focus all of her attention on her passion for the paranormal and joined the world of social media as a way of networking with like minded people. 4 years later and Jayne is a regular guest on paranormal TV and radio shows, a published author, speaker and magazine writer and was recently named "Britains Foremost Female Paranormal Investigator" by Vice's Broadly magazine and Coast to Coast FMs Darkness Radio.

Jayne firmly believes you are never too old to learn and is an advocate for the benefits of continued learning. Having recently completed a course on Demonology she is now exploring Holistic Therapies starting with Aromatherapy. 

Jayne is a member of the Parapsychical Association (PA), the Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena (ASSAP) and the British Paranormal Association (BPA).

Jayne now lives near the Welsh Borders with her Husband and co-founder Simon and their 2 beautiful Daughters.
